Hey girls! Do you have an inner artist you’re dying to share with the world? Would you like to see
YOUR artwork in a young adult novel? Then consider entering the “Bloggrls” illustration contest!
Author Cheryl Dellasega is looking for a teen girl to illustrate her second book in the
bloggrl series. It's the story-in-blog of Meg (sistrsic), a high-school sophomore who has grown up with an older half sister who is TPTBT (Too Perfect To Be True). Just as it seems Meg might find a way to express herself and step out of her sister's shadow, a terrible secret tears her family apart.
If you want to enter the contest, you must . . .
1. be a girl over 13
2. read the
first chapter of the book and create two original, black-and-white illustrations
3. email your illustrations (as .jpg or .pdf files) to opheliasmother@aol.com by November 1st, 2008
The first Bloggrl book was also illustrated by a girl teen,
Karina LaPierre. You could be next. Good luck!
