And the there was the moth....

So last night I was happily dreaming when I hear my sister screaming at the top of her lungs and running to my mom. I'm cozily wrapped in my blankets and the last thing I feel like doing is going to deal with what ever has happened. I listen a little more and find that my parents seem to be taking care of it. "Honey," my mom calls to my dad, "Hurry and bring a flashlight, Lucy* has a moth in her ear."

I hear Lucy screaming that it's going to fly into her brain. Knowing that everything was going to be alright I went back to sleep. Of course I was the only one who slept well last night but eventually they all fell asleep. They had gotten most of the bug (that was much smaller than a moth but sounded very loud that far in her ear) out but this morning Lucy went to see the school nurse who didn't see anything.

So of course, me not having stayed up all night combined with the fact that I'm the big sister, I was the only one who found it really funny that my sister had a "moth" stuck in her ear. I'm sure we all have funny stories of ourselves and those around us sticking beans up our noses and eating play dough. I'd like to hear yours!

*Name has been changed to protect "Lucy's" pride. :P
