I'll be in 9th grade this year. So excited!

movie: either "The Producers" (I couldn't stop laughing throughout the movie), or "Pride and Prejudice" (the 1995 one with Colin Firth).

books: my favorite is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I love all those books, but that one is, to me, the best of them. I also like the Abhorsen trilogy by Garth Nix. Both main characters are strong, independent young women, and we all know that more books like that need to be out there.

music: anything by Green Day or Good Charlotte; I'm really into that sort of alternative rock style, but I like some hip hop; some Akon's music isn't so bad and I also like what I've heard so far of Lady Sovereign's material.

my parents, my younger sister, Ina Garten, who is a fabulous cook, and chef Giada de Laurentiis (I hope I spelled that right).

activities/hobbies

I love soccer and gymnastics; they are my two favorite sports. I also like reading, cooking, playing my guitar, and hanging out with my family and friends, to name a few things.

career hopes and/or general hopes and dreams
I hope to be a chef someday, and open my own restaurant, and hopefully have my own show on the Food Network.

what inspires you?

Just looking at food, and cooking, improvising recipes and then improving them.

what scares you?
Getting sick. For some reason I tend to freak out about that. Or the idea of having somethng bad happen to my family.

dream travel destination

Wow. Ummm...I'd really like to go to England and visit my dad's family again. Or go France and/or Italy and experience the cuisine there.

something random about you, odd obsession, last thing you do before you go to bed at night: I am completely obsessed with shoes. I know, it sounds kind of shallow, but I really feel like I can never have too many of them. I have about 30 pairs and counting. I especially like ones with heels.

something you are most proud of/greatest achievement:

Getting on the GWEB was pretty darn cool! And also perfecting my cake recipe, which has now become the stuff of legend at my old school.

what you love most about orb28/why you joined/something you want to share about it:

I joined orb28 because I wanted to take a more active role in New Moon and doing something that I think will help young women. I love creating content and getting to know all the girls on the board.

funniest thing that's happened to you this week or in your life:

I was at a Minnesota Lightning ( the women's soccer team in our state), and there was a drawing to win a scarf, and if you won, your name was entered in a drawing to win tickets and airfare to the Major League Soccer finals in California. And mine was one of the names called! It was pretty cool, because there was only about a 1 in 300 chance of winning.
