So I'm going to keep this short because it is a beautiful day here and I'm going to head outside but this morning I heard about Obama having chosen Joe Biden to run with him.
Last night I slept over at my friends house. All five of us fell asleep all over her living room floor. Early this morning her dad walks in and turns on the TV. We all wake up in that early morning daze. Her dad completely awake and very excited tells us that Obama announced his VP candidate. So we all sat on the living room floor, half asleep, discussing politics!
Joseph R. Biden, jr, the Senior Senator from Delaware, is the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He has had many years of experience in politics and law. He has run for president twice.
My friends dad thinks that one of the most valuable things about him is his commitment to his family. Ever since his first wife and daughter died in a car crash, he has been making the hour and a half commute each day from his home in Delaware to Washington, DC to be with his family.
My good friend Freeland say's "I don't know much about him but he got into the senate when he was really young and he's been a front runner in most all of his political life so it will interesting to see how he's going to be the 2nd because Obama's going to be his boss, his captain man."
Katie had heard about him when he was running for president early on in this election but wanted to know more about his and his views. I think we all do!
I guess that in the days coming up, we will find out lots more. What are your thoughts about the election? Do you think Obama and Biden are a good combination?
And who do you think McCain will select as his nomination for VP?
