For me camp is always one of the best parts of summer. I have old friends I see, I meet new people and I do different things. I've gone to so many camps over the years and they were all different. I loved most everything about them!
Summer camp is great but many people I know feel like they have to go to camp. Maybe all their friends are going or maybe their parents need them to while they work.
I have friends that go to camp right after school gets out and get back 3 days before it starts up. They love it but I have to wonder if they ever wanted to do anything else with their summers. My sister went away for 2 weeks because she thought she'd love it and now she doesn't even like sleepovers. I went to the same camp at the same time and loved every second of it.
I think what I'm trying to say is that camp is a great thing but it's not for everyone. Do you think that kids get forced to go to camp? What do you think about sending 6 year old away to camp for a month?
And changing the subject, I know that there are some really amazing and unique camps out there. What ones do you think sound interesting? Have you had any camp disasters? What about pranks?
