Friday Story Ideas: Mentorship

Since the launch of New Moon Girls Online is only one month away, I've been spending a lot of time these days getting content like articles, polls, quizzes, and videos ready for the site. Although the site is aimed at girls ages 8 - 12, there's a special section called "Sister to Sister" that is a place where girls ages 13 + can mentor younger girls, give them advice, and share their experiences. That got me thinking about friendships between younger and older girls; I'd love see some articles along these lines:

  • Do you have "cross age" friendships with girls a few years older or younger than you? What's nice about having friends of different ages? What's challenging?

  • Are there things you wish an older friend had told you when you were younger?

  • What advice would you give 8 - 12 year olds?

  • Do you have any tips for mentoring younger girls or making cross-age friendships successful?

I'd love to post your ideas on the blog or even on New Moon Girls Online. You can send your creations about this topic to laceyl@newmoongirlmedia.com.
