Today is Turn Beauty Inside Out Day! Back in 2000, your very own New Moon started this national initiative, and now it's headed up by the awesome non-profit Mind on the Media.

Turn Beauty Inside Out Day is a way to spark awareness and dialogue about media images of girls and women. It's time that beauty be defined by who we are and what we do, not by how we look!

So how you can you participate? Enter the Turn Beauty Inside Out essay contest!

Here's the essay question:"There have been arguments that the media has portrayed/covered the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign differently because she is a woman. Do you agree with that statement? Why or Why not?"

Essays must be 500 words or less and received by June 30, 2008 via email to tbio@mindonthemedia.org.
